Spring Detox Cleanse

Thank you to all the cleanse workshop participants yesterday! I promised to post some recipes on the blog, so here are some yummy options this week.

Nut Paste- This is great to add to your steamed beets, or rice and mung.

Soak a handful of raw cashews and macadamia nuts for between 3 and 12 hours. Drain the nuts and put in blender or food processor. Add a little cold pressed olive oil, and some water blend adding more water as needed for a creamy consistency. Add fresh herbs, such as chives, cilantro, parsley, etc.

Kale Salad with Lemon Tahini Sauce- This is great for lunch or dinner.

Chop some kale into very small pieces. Mix with a little of the lemon tahini sauce (see below), add some red chiles (fresh or flakes).

Lemon Tahini Sauce

Just mix a couple spoonfuls of raw tahini with a few drops of toasted sesame oil, the juice of one lemon, a little olive oil and some Braggs. YUMMM!

Green Juice

Juice a half head of kale, a half head of romaine, one apple, one lemon and a thumb size piece of ginger (all organic) and feel the enzyme rush!
